black loading screen on MONSTERHUNTER AND METAL GEAR SOLID O.O!! HELP!!!

i've got the usa version iso of Metal gear solid portable op and usa version of MONSTER HUNTER FREEDOM, when i run both game on my FW 3.03 OE-A is just a black loading screen and nothing is happening...
HELP HELP HELP

oh yea, lots, actuall almost all the game thats out there, even the one haven't even released in america :P these are the only 2 that dosn't work. i've downloaded 3 different version of the game from different website/ torrent.
do i need a umd in the drive?

could be bad rips of the game. more then likely what it is if other games work.

naw, i've seen lots people with this problem, one solution for MHF is that use a ppf patch. i've got the patch, but it dosn't seems to work :/ and i've read somewhere else that i need a umd to boot the game up. but i've lend all my game out, can't try it atm ><

well yeah that could also be why. alot of games dont work with no-umd enabled.
