Unable to burn cd's out of ITunes

I got this error:The last failed audio CD burn had error code 4450(0x00001162). It happened on drive D: ATAPI DVD DD 2X16X4X16 on CDR media at speed 8X.

I purchased several songs, I made a play list, I highligted the list, I selected my dvd burner, at 8x and chose audio cd, seletced use sound check. After it failed I chose my second cd burner and I repeated the process, now I got a bunch of window media players instead of wav files. I repeated the proccess again with my new dvd burner and I also got Window media files. The cd will not open normally it says " Access to the specified device, path or file is denied. If I double click on the cd drive I get " This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the folder option control panel." I downloaded the songs into my shuffle with no problem. I tried reburning the files in Nero and the burn failed even though Nero converted the songs from Windows media player to wav. Please help.
