This morning System mechanic pro (02/03/07)( I use win xp pro sp2)download one update to system mechanic and one to I believe the firewall program. Rebooted the system as requested. Now firewall and anti-virus are not listed in my lower right tool bar. In programs when I click on the icon nothing happens, this includes the system mechanic icon on the desktop. But you do not receive a warning from Microsoft that the anti-virus or firewall are not installed.

It started out to be a good day.

Thanks for any help that anyone can offer.
