you can send it in, they will fix it cheaper than buying a new one, and try putting upgraded fans in it and you should be able to fix it

Yeah I'm on the same one I bought in July. It still works great. However I bought one 6 months before that one which started messing up a little. It didn't matter in the end, because I bricked that one with a bad flash. I got it right the 2nd time though.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people end up with dodgy consoles. I've had mine since launch here in Australia and never had a single problem; and the people I know who've got one have never had problems either.

Easiest way to fix all those broken console problems. Go to Target and get a new console. Take the case off the old console and put it on the new one. Take the old console back the next day complaining of 3 red lights and demand your money back. Works everytime.

I dont think alot of people do have problems with there xbox 360's, I havnt had any issues with my own, the case is that people only go on forums mostly when there systems die out on them or when they have problems, because of this, we only know of people complaining about the system, look at the real world, everyones enjoying the 360 with no probs!!!
LOL ;)

I have left mine on for days, seriously, its just a computer, nothing out of the ordinary, it can run for real long without any problems. I've left my slimline v12 on for several days too, both consoles have no problems at all. :P

Best thing to do is just make sure its in a well ventilated area, if you do just that, you wont need additional fans or anything.

From what I've heard, it is mainly the consoles manufactured back in 2005 that have problems.

Even thought, I doubt it was all of them that had the same problem, only a few had these faults.

dude if u wanted ur console to last for longer you should not of modded it in the first place. you should of read up on mods so u would of known that they have risks.
creativeness is the name of the modding game -
if you dont got it, then get it

I've had it on all day once, and never a single problem. The only time it's ever froze is during Saints Row, but the disc was scratched to hell so I guess that would've been the cause, not the console.

modding the dvd drive has absolutely nothing to do with overheating, but i guess some people just want to be right, i have left mine on over night before, no issues at all

not to offend anyone that believes you must add extra fans or whatever, i dont see what the big deal about the over heating problem is. becuase the only ones that really had a problem with it were the origonal ones, and microsoft said they would repair all the origonal ones for free due to this problem. and even with this, i leave mine on for weeks at a time without ever turning it off (heck it hasnt been turned off since january 8th when i came back to college for the new semester), whether im at home where it is in a well ventalated area, or at home where its in the entertainment center thing with glass front doors and no air circulation and have never once had a problem with it locking up and its an 05 model. so in my own personal opinion the added fans are not necesary, however they are pretty cool with the LEDs and all. so yea.
