Hi, Thanks for having a cool forum.
I am not able to burn cd's on my Pioneer 109 dvd burner.
My other dvd burner is a Lite'on drive that I basically used to burn cds and rip my dvds. It is dying a sad death...so it's time for a new one.
I tried to burn a cd-r and it will not work...not a back up of a cd , not an iso file. But as a DVD Burner it is an amazing work horse. Rock Solid.
I did have Nero 6. and uninstalled it. I am trying "Record Now 6".
the only problem with that is it wont let me change the speed at which the disc would burn. (which I feel may be part of the problem).

as far as media.
I am using Memorex, Imation, Sony and Staples discs....all are are giving me the same situation.

after it gave me the error message
in the advanced section of the error menu it said:
Sense: 02 ASC: 30 ASCQ: 00 (Command 00)
