I was searching for prices on hard drives when I came accross this:

Dynex USB External Hard Drive Enclosure (DX-HDEN20)

It is in Future Shop and is $24.99. I have no idea what a Hard Drive Enclosue is but I was woundering if there was any way this could work with the ps2.

Its just an "Enclosue", meaning you put an HDD in it, typically an IDE HDD.

he means it is the same type of hard drive that you would buy for your PC, and IDE INTERNAL style hard drive, not USB EXTERNAL
You can then buy this enclosure and stick the INTERNAL PC hard drive into it. It will then make it a USB EXTERNAL hard drive that you can take where ever you like.

So does that I mean I could get this enclosure and use it on PC hard drive, then use it with hdloader or somthin?

Yes, if that is what you want.
You get the enclosure and stick a PC IDE style hard drive in it making it USB.
Then you can use it with your slimline PS2 with USB Extreme (not HD loader which is for internal hard drives)

If you have a fat PS2 you do not need it. You just get a network adapter (unless you still have the one that came with your PS2) and hook the PC hard drive up to it inside the PS2 and use HD Loader or HD Advanced
