Are these any good? Verbatim has the best reputation, and if the sound says anything, the Philipses seem to put a bit more strain on my PS2 lens than the Verbatims.

Just want to make sure I'm not wasting my lens with Philips, I'll burn all my NEW backups on Verbatim, but I have a few on Philips already...

They are decent enough discs, im not sure what you mean by puttin more strain on your PS2 lens? It doesnt strain your lens as such, it just re-reads mroe probably

I've heard that bad quality DVDs will fuck up your PS2 lens. I've also heard from other sources that it's not the extra strain, just the fact that bad quality media will be the first to stop working as your lens gets older.

Anyway, I personally prefer to be safe rather than sorry.

Xenosaga jitters heavily, although both my other games work quite well, so I guess it's Xenosaga...

Yeah, thats is true about the lens messing up on bad quality media. Its true also for Standalone DVD palyers as well. Stick with what you know works best i reckon. :-)
