after much researching I have not been able to find a solution to my problem. this camcorder will show up as two different divices in my divice manager, when i switch the camera it shows as a regular DV divece, and gives me very poor quality video, so when I switch the cacorder to an HD divice windows XP recognizes the divice as a AV/C subunit, and will not use the proper drivers that winows already has (msdv.inf and a .PNF file) I sould also add that this camcorder only has a FirWire fireWire. so what is the problem, is it windows, is it the firewire card, what is it? and how do I fix it?
