I'm new to PS2 modding so this may be an easy question for some. But if I buy SwapMagic 3.6 what is the point of the memory exploit? On the site where I can buy SwapMagic says that it plays all backups and imports.
Also is there any way to soft mod a PS2 like an Xbox? Just wanted to check before I run out and buy this disc.

i just started reading about swap magic and whatever for my ps2 like 2 days ago but from what i understand if you dont want to have to swap discs every time u can just put the exploit on the mem card? but im not sure like i said i just started reading about it, someone can double check this. but im pretty sure that you would be fine with just swap magic but u will need to run it everytime u play a backup/import. and for the other question im guessing u mean like save games onto ur hdd and just run them from there, yes you can do it, im not sure how but im sure u can search the forums and find something
