DVDR05/ZU Can't bring up menus

I recently put a commercial disc into this unit..the video was fluttering so I entered the setup menu and to make a long story short I think it went into Progressive scan mode and now I have no pictures and I am unable to even bring up the Setup menu. I have tried unplugging the unit, to no avail. I also tried going blind into the menu, but I get nowhere. I would just junk this piece of garbage, but I have quite a few discs that are not finalized. Any ideas? Maybe like a factory default/master reset back to regular mode?
