its a real thing, i have one i bought of ebay.
its a bit smaller than the origonal ps2 analogue stick size if that is what you are thinking.

What do you mean by break? Because the PSP analog stick that came with you psp is removable.

Dont buy it from newegg its at ebgames for 4.99

And I had one for about a year now and everything works fine and its like a ps2 analog stick

Is it in all EB Game stores? If you live or been in hillsdale mall do you know if the analog sticks are in the EB game store there?
