Let me first start off by apologizing for any questions I ask that have been answered. I've been on about 5 different forums, top to bottom, and can't find all the information I need. Please bare with me.
I bought hd advance, and I'm very happy with the basic set up, however, I can't figure out for the life of me how to load the patches for games. I know where to find them, but not how to make the ps2 take in the information. I tried to burn onto a cd-r, but that didn't work. After doing that, some ip address and other information started coming up and I had to turn off the ps2 to get hd advance to load.
How do I load patches?
The inspiration behind me buying hd advance is that I wanted to turn my ps2 into a complete entertainment system. My friend had a modded x-box. Saved games, movies, pictures, music. I desperately want to do this to my ps2, but don't know what materials I need. Like I said before, I have hd advance (good start), but is it possible for me to load movies and music, etc.
Do I need hd advance to do so or a mod chip and something else?
Can I load different skins on the menu with just hd advance?
What is a media player for ps2 for? (I've seen where to download, but I don't know how to install the software nor what it does)
Here's my big quesition. Please give as much information about it as possible. What are the full capabilities of a ps2 with mod-chips and/or hd advance?
Dealing with hd advance: can I back up my cd/dvd that come with hd advance and use them like the originals? If so, is a moddhip needed.
I've read about booting from a memory card....what programs will this work for(mainly i'm curious if it'll work for hd advance)
I've read about the 3 different modes, but I can't figure out what these modes are. I know what they do, but when I push select, it brings up like 10 different options (ie: sloww hdd, kill hd advance after load, data/time flex2, data/time flex3 <---something to that effect), etc.) mode one is the standard without any alterations to the select menu? So what combinations of yes/no on those options equals mode 2 and mode 3?
Thanks to anyone that can add some information. Again, I'm sorry if I've asked quetions that are already listed. I've been on afterdawn for a couple weeks now and it seems that the best information is listed in these forums.
