I have Swap Magic v2.0 that I use with my PS2. My PS2 is a Version 5, and it works and everything, I just wanted to know if the Swap Magic v2.0 would work on my Friends' PS2? He has one of the Slim PS2's, and in the Swap Magic Instructions, it says to "hold the eject button until the LED turns Orange, and then Swap". On the Slim PS2, there is no LED on the Eject button? You press eject, and the tray opens. So I just wanted to know that if it's possible to use Swap Magic v2.0 on a Slim PS2?

Swap Magic 2.0 should run on the slim ps2 all good and backups. But u need to block the sensors in the slim so that the ps2 wont know that you have opened the lid of the disc tray.

There is a tape trick that you can do, or buy the right tools for it.

Can you point me in the right direction on a tutorial or something, that tells how to do that?

You do have to open the ps2 up though, and be very careful not to put alot of pressure on pieces or you might break something, and well... you could end up with a dead ps2.

Now what does that "Tape Method" do? They put it over a sensor. Is that the sensor used when you open the CD Tray? Once I do that, can I just put the Swap Magic in, and then open the tray, and swap it with a burned game?

Yeah the sensor is so that the ps2 knows when the lid has been opened. So if you cover it the ps2 should never know that you have opened the lid. One downside to this though would be that you probly have to move the sensor to do a toc refresh.
Or if you dont want to open your ps2, you can buy the right tools for it, but atleast the tape methods free :)

What is a toc refresh? So, once I cover the Sensor with some tape, or some object, I'll be able to do the swap method? I just want to do this, so that I can add custom songs to Guitar Hero II! Thanks!

Well once you block all three sensors yes the swap trick will work you just wait for the disc to quit spinning swap then push X or whatever you push after swapping it on the chubby I push X because I have version 3.6+. Now for a TOC refresh. Ok swap magic DVD is about 4.37 GB thus meaning you can only play a backup smaller than the original TOC size (4.37 GB). So in order to play a backup of a game bigger than 4.37 GB (roughly) you need a higher TOC original but on the slim you have to unblock a sensor so that the PS2 knows it is open then from here I am not sure but if you want to save time and effort just rebuild the games that are to big this means extracting the dummy files just search ps2 backup rebuild or something like that.

Food has replaced sex in my life. Now I can't even get into my own pants.
