im wondering how to get a 2 disk game like metal gear solid onto my psp, should i rip each disk seperate and use popstation to convert them each seperate, or highlight the 2 iso files once ripped with popstation and merge them with popstation.

Just Put The First Disc On Your PSP, When You Finnish It, Remove The First Disc, And Put On The Second, Im Sure That Works

what do you mean disk in my psp, i may of not made it clear im talking about playstation 1 games that are 2 disk, for example i gave MGS which is a 2 disk game, would i rip and convert the first disk and then rip and convert the second disk making 2 eboot files or whatever they are, or would i merge them somehow.

Just use both eboots separately, just make sure you give each eboot the same game ID number, or your save from disc 1 will not work when trying to load from disc 2.

No, Carl doesn't know what he's talking about. The method proposed by Carl_92 and ebega will not work with MGS because the game does not ask you to save before switching disks. Running the second disk as a separate Eboot will not allow you to load you game file from any saves made during play with disk 1. The best solution I have come across so far is at this link: http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=43215

The Virtual Mission part of MGS is a stand alone game and doesn't require MGS to be played. Simply take you Virtual Missions disk, make an ISO image, and then convert the ISO image to an EBOOT just like you would any other PS1 title. For more info about running PS1 titles on a PSP, check out http://pspupdates.qj.net/index.php?pg=49&aid=81676 . You need to have a PSP downgraded to 1.5 and then upgraded to atleast firmware 3.02 OE to play homemade PS1 titles. There will be a new custom firmware out soon FW 3.30 OE by dark alex, should have improved PS1 functionality.

Have you resolved the disk swap problem yet? I already did the disk swap thing, so maybe my version bypasses the disk check. I'm not sure what it is, but I can tell you this, I am running it right now. Hope you can make yours work dude. But even if you don't, the VR Missions disk is lame anyway, its a bunch of mini-missions in levels which don't even have textures, its more like a tutorial to the game.

i dont remember which one, just look around it isnt hard to find. besides i still used an iso image and made the eboot myself. are you sure we are talking about the same game? I am talking about the VR Missions, i dont know of any othe MGS supplemental material but perhaps we are talking about different versions. I made my eboot from a PS1 iso image and it never asked me about swapping disks, so im not really sure what else to tell you.

the american release of Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions does not require you to have Metal Gear Solid. However the PAL version of Metal Gear Solid: VR missions (called "Metal Gear Solid: Special Missions") requires you to own a PAL version of Metal Gear Solid.
do you americans relize that England, Europe, Australia and New Zealand get different versions of games? A good example of this would be the PAL version of Final Fantasy X (which was an english port of Final Fantasy X International). this version has extras that the NTSC|UC (North American) version doesn't have.
