Smart ripper doesn`t rip whole dvd

Hi
I am kind of new in dvd ripping.I have win XP pro with amd athlon (tm) processor and soyo T-400 motherboard and a dvd drive.I used smartripper 226 and played dvd for some time on wmp which is my default dvd player.After it said `authentication successful' I selected the target which in my case was C:\dvd1\vts_01 with enough of disk space and clicked start tab thereafter.But after 53% of progress it gave me an error message `can`t read block so and so (byteposition so and so KB)-unlock now and retry 'It gave me options of abort ,retry & ignore.On retry it kept on giving same message;on ignore it kept on error message about next block and on abort it asked `quit ripping ?'.On clicking no i was notified `rip complete'.I went ahead making d2v and wav files from vob files by dvd2avi,opened TMPGEnc but when i watched movie from my hard drive it was only half of movie.If there is any step i missed , or if i need some other software please let me know.Any help will be greatly appreciated

Try ripping the dvd with DVD Decrypter and see if the problem comes up again.

If it does, then the problem might be the dvd.

Or use DVD Shrink to do ripping and compression!
