My friend recently put some mods on my xbox and said that it wont get me banned if i only play in custom games and it still did, so now i am perm banned from matchmaking. Is there a way to get unbannned on ur account from HALO 2 Matchmaking not xbox live i can still go on live.

yeah, a good way to not get banned is to STOP CHEATING!
They usually ban your EEPROM (at least live does) or your IP address.
If you want to play with mods then join up with all the other cheaters on Xlink Kai or XBconnect which are two free online gaming systems. If you get tired or cheaters yourself you can find friends and create private, password protected rooms to play in where no one without the password can play.
