dvd drive update can microsoft do it ?

ok so here goes

1. The dvd drive in the 360 firmware, can this be updated from xbox live ? because at the moment we have to remove the firmware then add our own manually dont we ? could this be made possible or would it make older games useless ?

2. Do you think microsoft is working on a dvd drive firmware update ?

3. which firmware are you using at the moment ? and which dvd DL media code are you using ?

i'm using 5.2A and ritek D01

i'm using 5.2A and ritek D01
1. I don't think Microsoft can remotely upgrade a DVD Drive's firmware.
2. Yeah, it's called the BENQ 360 drive.
3. 5.2a on my M28, Opa 2.3 rev2 on the 59DJ.. Verbatim DVD+R DL. Forgot the media code. MMK1 or something like that. They work.
