ok so i have wireless internet for my house (laptop) and i hook my 360 up to the router by a cord. so when i try to host games on gears it says something about have to chage firewalls and so on. does any know how to help

your router has a built in firewall, you may need to adjust it

go to your router configuration thing, i know for mine i open Mozilla or Internet Explorer and type in 192.168.1.1 and it brings it up asks for my login and stuff and just use the default pass and stuff for your router, if you dont know call them and ask, and just turn the firewall off, what kind of router is it? and what model is it?

see i dont know how to get to that the only firewall i have is norton and i tried shuting it down an then hosting but it did nothing
