why would my screen dim for 2 minutes after every input?

long story short: whenever i press a button in any homebrew app (including dark alex's config menu) my screen goes black for approx 2 minutes?

is there a setting i can maneuver to and correct this?

i went from 3.03 ta-802 >> 1.5 and this is where it all began.
