hey ya'll

need advice if there is any?!

What is the easiest way without spending a fortune to transfer my vhs-c home movies to DVD?

I know i can send them out to be done but gosh that is expensive after a few!!

Are there any products out there that I can use to do this
I have heard of Sony DVD Direct for example???
any advice is appreciated!!

Get a DVD recorder and copy using a VCR.

The Sony RDR-VX420 is an excellent machine. I have just bought one because my wife has dozens of old vhs tapes she wants on dvd. I know it is £200.00 but I had a cheapee and they are RUBBISH. In fact I have another Sony dvd recorder and 3! vcrs but believe me it is SOoo easy to use a good copying machine you will not regret it.

thanks for the advice and help

Since I put my thread in , I looked into the SONY DVD Direct VRD-MC3

I was able to get one from ebay for a good deal
gonna try it and see how it works
it had good ratings and all good reviews for quality and easy to use
not only can i use it to transfer my tapes to dvd but i can hook up my camera and store my pictures,won't have to use up computer space or pay to have a disc made at the phot place
