I have got a psp and i have brough the clear case mod for both the face plant and the back of the psp including umd door. I can fit the faceplant but i can't see any way to take the back part and the umd door off.

Basically i just need to know how to get the casing at the back off.

Any ideas?

Could you give me a link if you got it online? I'm interested in something like this, too.
I'm pretty sure you have to take the entire parts inside the PSP, remove them from the backplate and rebuilt your PSP into the new backplate. Carefully remove the monitor to see the screws you have to take out.
It's actually not that hard to do, I got a pretty good look inside a PSP when I removed my mainboard from my broken Japanese one and put it inside my white European version. Hardest thing is to replace the monitor without damaging the connections.

you need to completely disassemble the one psp and rebuild it with the new backplate and faceplate
