I am soldering a Mars II MA-303 modchip into my ps2 (v4 SCPH-35001). I finished soldering all the points except points A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I. These points are to be soldered to the back of the motherboard onto very small points. I a wondering if anyone has any tips on how to solder these points. They are about as big as the period at the end of this sentence. They are like little holes, but they do not pierce the board.
you know the hole that's beside the points you have to solder? use that to run your wires, and the points themselves? use an x-acto knife to scrape off the protective coating and use a fine point soldering tip eve n if you have to grind one down , and don't forget to tin the areas and the wire first and you shouldn't have any prob, and just touch it once and it will stick, that's what i did an i've had no prob yet
use something sharp to scrap off the coating, apply some flux, tin the points with solder. tin the wires with solder before soldering on. it should stick pretty fast.
