Multitap doesn`t work with Swap Magic..?

Hi. I have the original large PS2, and I also have the right multitap for it. I run my Swap Magic 3.8 CODER, and the game works fine no problems.. the only thing is, for some reason, only controller port A works! B-D don`t work for whatever reason, however, if I put a 2nd controller into the original 2nd controller slot, it works just fine!! I`m really confused. Is there any specific reason my multitap isn`t working right, ONLY for Swap Magic games? For my other games my multitap works just fine. Is this only happening to me? Is there a way to fix this?
