Those Ritek look very good and sound very good. The price is ok on them. However, for the same price you can get the ultra high-end Traxdata (Riteks own premium brand) 4x DVD-R for £1.30 here:

I've just bought Bulkpaq orange as my first pack of DVD-R. I did so because they were so cheap and I could afford some coasters whilst learning how to produce DVD-R.
After producing a few coasters I've come up with a formula that works flawlessly with these disks.

1) Encode TMPGEnc / Procoder
2) Author TMPGEnc DVD Author
3) Burn Record Now Max

The disks I am producing work in every standalone I've tried and the Playstation2 also.
I think there must be a lot of crap disks out there. But lets not forget there are also bad workmen and bad tools etc.

Thats true about bad workmen and bad tools, however, most of the time it does come down to the media being pretty useless.
