This is just a question but how long should it take for the PSP to charge to 100% say from 30% or so, I've noticed as I've been using my PSP more and more it's taking longer to charge, is it anything to do with the battery degrading and losing charge or what?
I've had my PSP for about a year now, when should you replace the battery

Hmmm I've never really done that actually, well not with my 2nd PSP anyway, it's bad for the battery if you deep cycle it anyway so I always try to charge at around 30% or so.
With the screen on, or in sleep mode it takes like 1 hour and a half probably to charge to 100% from 30%.
With it off it's probably around 1 hour.

Same here my PSP still charges well after 100%
Just a question does anyone hear have those special lithium batteries for the PSP? How much do they increase the running time of your PSP and how much do they cost?

The Manual says "When using the supplied Battery Pack, it takes approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes to fully charge".
Well there you go.

Depends what your doing.
For example with a relatively new battery, playing music from your PSP with the screen off can give up to 10 hours of running time.
Playing a video or UMD Movie at max screen brightness on the highest volume will give about 4 hours running time.
Playing a very graphically intensive game (eg. Tekken, MGS: Portable Ops, Ridge Racer 2, Field Commander) at maximum screen brightness with the volume at max could give only around 2 and half hours of running time.
It depends, also with each charge cycle the PSP's battery capacity is slightly reduced. After 500-1000 or so charges the battery will have about half it's original capacity and will be pretty worthless and require replacing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And a final tip, DO NOT DEEP CYCLE the PSP. As in, don't use your PSP until the battery goes completely flat and then charge to 100% and keep doing this over and over again. This will half your batteries life-span as the PSP's battery is Lithium-Ion and LI batteries should NEVER BE DEEP CYCLED. Always recharge at around 30-40% and keep the battery away from sunlight and heat.
