I just got a Xecuter 2.2 Lite Plus and it won't seat correctly... the blue LEDs come on, but the green LED (indicates if the pins are fitted correctly) will not some on... it seemse like the screw may be a little off where it needs to be. Anyone else had this problem? Or anyone that has an idea?
Oh, Also I should mention I have a v1.0 xbox :)

I have the same problem as you. I tried it on two different xbox but the same version. Still no result. It might be defective. Where did you get yours from? I got mine from the-console-war.com.

I got mine form system-mods.com... thought about sending it back in, but the policy says that if it isn't broken I've got to pay them shipping and $10. Plus I've got to pay to ship it back to them.

OK, I got the green LED to come on after I scratched up the d0 point. But, when I tried screwing in the screw, it just kept spinning... I stripped the socket because i screwed and unscrewed it too many times lol. So, now I'm trying to find a screw a bit bigger than the one that came with it. Hopefully that'll work :). Anyone have any other ideas?

go to homedepot and take the chip. Go where the screws are and find one the will fit also try a washer. A washer might get the screw to stay good and tight.
Your ZERO miles from safety

Okay, here we go...
I got it to work by making the hole on the chip a bit bigger and using an oversized screw. I used the washer that it came with. I was able to do it. One thing, if the external switch is plugged in, the green LED DOES NOT COME ON. But, it still works. I got that all setup and everything is running fine now.
Well, that problem is solved.

I'm glad you got yours working. I still can't get mind to work. I did make the hole on the chip bigger but I still can't seem to get the green light to come on. If the green light do come on, The hole on the chip is way off. This damn thing is driving me nuts. Any other steps that you took to get your xbox modded?
I'm thinking about returning this, but I don't know if they are going to accept it back. I just don't like to pay for the shipping and handling. I will try to put picture on a link so you guys can take a look at my xbox to see what I did wrong...

I recently had the same problem and struggled with the chip and the infamous green light (LED 4) for 2 days.
Using Xecuter 2.2 Lite Plus and Xbox v1.2.
I was able to get it to work by scrapping the "d0" to get better contact and it worked.
Hope this helps someone avoid the hell I went through.

I finally got x2.2 lite + to work. I found out that the first one was bad. The second one that they sent me work fine with no hassle. I got mind from www.The-Console-Corner.com. They were very friendly in helping me out. They cover all my shipping and handling on returns.

I have just purchased a X2.2 lite pro!! :) I wanted to know has anyone attempted to upgrade their HDD to a larger one? I have plans on installing a 120G, along with changing the ide cable to a ultra fast ata for faster data transfer the results should be faster loads!! Cross my fingers!! For those that have changed thier HDD send me some procedures and software needed to complete the job. Thanks

I had to drill the hole out (very slowly) larger on the x2lite to get the pins to align correctly, just an idea if you can't get your seller to come through.

i've always noticed that when people use the 2.2 lite +, they have problems because of one of the following things.
1) they dont scrape the d0
2) they haven't switched the chip to the correct version of their xbox (default its on 1.0-1.2, but if you have 1.3, then you have to turn the switch on the chip itself to 1.3)
3) when they screw the chip down, they screw too hard so that the chip kind of slants and the d0 point does not make contact.
4) the lpc points aren't making good contact because the holes aren't filled in and the chip just drops into the holes, making the entire appratus unsecure and not making contact with d0.
of course, team x is kind of silly sometimes, and sends their chips off with no bios.. if you turn it on and just get a frag, and have verified all your stuff is aligned correctly, it could be a bad/no flash.. then you curse out team x and buy a programmer ;)

If you got your chip from the-console-corner like I did and others on here, they apparently have a bad batch where the pins dont align, it has nothing to do with the contact but with the manufacture. You can position it, tighten it, loosen it or whatever till your blue in the face and it won't work. I didn't bother going back to console corner for a replacement as I was already aware of the potential problem before I ordered and figured I could get around it if I got one. I read another post on here where someone did go back to them and they gave him a new one.

I got mine from modchip.ca
everything seems to line up fine and I did not screw too tightly. just enough so that it would not move. no matter how I seat it the green light will not come on. I cleaned all the dust and whatnot off the board and still no luck

Then try kfree's suggestions, double check your d0 point after screwing it down to make sure it isn't shifting off.

upon closer inspection it is not making contact with d0
it is slightly towards the front of the xbox
is there a chance I got a mis-shaped chip ?also one of the pins was stuck in when I got it..but its not stuck all hte way in so it is making contact

Thats exactly what I was talking about. No matter how much you try to position it will always shift off when you tighten down, a little or a lot. Remove the screw, position the pins on the points where they need to go on the board and look down on the screw hole. If it was like mine the hole center on the x2 will be offset from the screw hole center on the xbox. Mine was off quite a bit. If its off, good luck getting it into position without enlarging the hole.

I wrapped a strand of speaker wire around the pin that was out of place the one that goes on d0 and I stuck the other end of the wire in the d0 hole..and Voila! Green Light is on
