DVD ROM Won't Recognize CD

My DVD ROM won't recognize a CD by Arista Records: Barry Manilow Greatest Songs of the Fifties. Can anything be done to correct this?

If you have just a DVD-ROM drive it won't support cds. You would have to be some type of combo drive.
