if i want to connect my pc into my xbox what do i do ,i have a dsl modem with 3 fittings ,one for and ethernet cable wire wich goes from dsl modem to the pc,one for the telephone line ,the other for power plug for the dsl modem.there what else do i need.

ok what if i put the ethernet cable from the dsl to the xbox will it work?or can i just get another ethernet card and usa a ethernet cable

either get a router, so you can set up a netwrok, then just use a regular ethernet cable to your xbox, or get a crossover cable and connect directly from the PC to the xbox. i recommend the router, much easier.

cant i just get another ethernet card and from that ethernet card a ethernet cable from the card to the xbox.or how do you put on a crossover cable ,from the ethernet card to the xbox,or the dsl modem that i got to the xbox

a crossover cable is just like an ethernet cable except 2 wires are switched, it allows the direct connection of 2 PC's or PC to xbox. you can get a crossover cable cheaper than an ethernet card. but yes you could also get another ethernet card too but it's harder to configure than just using a crossover cable. a router would be your best bet, since you could be online with the PC and the xbox, and still be able to do the transfers from the xbox to the PC. so you see, there are alot of ways you can go, my personal opinion is just to use a router and save yourself the hassle.

yeah but routers are too much money and ethernet cards are like 10 bucks onlly and i already have an ethertnet wire

ok but you'll still need a crossover cable. i think you can pick up a router for about 40-50 bucks.
