Thanks for the help in advance...

I have tried to backup my Gears of War and have everything that is required to run and burn it:

CloneCD 5.2.9.1
ImgBurn Latest
DVD-RAM DRIVE (starts burning dl's so I guess its working)
Schtrom 3.1
Xbox Backup Creator 2.3
Verbatim Dl's
Imation Dl's

I have an external USB enclosure with the KREON flashed SAMSUNG drive in the interior. I read all images (Gears of War and Splinter Cell) perfectly fine. When it comes to burning however there is always a problem (and I'm fed up with spending $10 on every dvd that I buy only to find that I am obviously to stupid to find a solution to my dillema). I always get errors like "Power Calibration Area Error" and with ImgBurn "O/C error!".

What am I doing wrong I need a break - I am getting the images fine but the burning has become an issue. I burnt one completly the other day - but when booted it only gets up to the microsoft logo screen???

Help me please...

Hey thanks for replying... I will get that program and show you the contents. I used schtrom today for Gears of War... a few days ago I used Xbox Backup Creator to make the Gears of War image that almost booted...

How do I go about getting a log? Files are taking ages to extract?

From Pioneers site:

Quote:
A power calibration error is caused by the inability of a DVD-RW drive to use a DVD-R or DVD-RW disk.

DVD-R and DVD-RW disks themselves have information written on them, within this Media ID code there is information that the drive uses to calibrate itself to the disk, when a drive first starts to write to a disk it will burn a small amount of data to a calibration area on the disc, using the calibration information in the Media ID code, and then try to read back the data that it has written. If it cannot be read, then disk will be ejected and fail with a power calibration error.

A power calibration error is normally caused by problems with the media. Should you be experiencing problems with your drive or the media, we recommend that a disk from a good quality manufacturer be used to test it.
Have you updated the burners firmware?

you can go to dvd-burner manufactorers website, search for your burner model, and obtain the most recent FW for it. also, make sure that when you using imageburn that you have the layer break set to the correct value in the write tab under the options menu.
