Help!!

I have a matrix modded ps2 with network adaptor, 80gig hd and hd advance (original copy). The laser has packed up on the ps2 so I am left with something I cannot use! Is it possible to make the memory card or HD bootable so I can access the games on the HD? I have access to another ps2 so if I need to use a disk to create this I can do.

Any help would be appreciated - I am a newbie so I am looking for step by step instructions!

Well there is the memory card exploit, for tuts you can go to ps3news.com under ps2 threads for memory card exploits. Sorry I don't have a step by step guide, I'm very unfamilar with this method.
