My problem is i want to know, if my analog stick is totally broken off do i need to replace the controller and the analog stick?

If you mean the that flat circle thing came off then you can glue it back on, if you mean you use it too hard and so and broke it so it doesnt respond then yes

The analog stick is made to come off but if you can see that that it's chipped or something then you can buy a replacement for £5

Well it depends how you broke it off, if you somehow like ripped it out or got a bad bump or something then there's a chance you've broken the tiny screws that hold it in, in which case you'd need to buy a new one.

Otherwise if it came off you can open the PSP (check the FAQs or Guides on how to do that) and try and reattach it.

There's plenty of spare parts on EBay.
