yeah it just happened not to long ago.its about 1:43 Am and i was trying to swap out cases and CRACK! thats all i heard..next thing turned on my psp and the side was cracked.i almost cried.
anyone got a lcd screen from a bricked psp or just wants to get rid of it? please someone i need a new one and if someone has a decent heart to sell me one for a decent price.pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Crack? So did you bang it against something or just kinda snap it??
Does it work at all?
Ebay has tons of parts, there might some bricked PSP owners on the boards willing to sell but if you can't wait I'd just order one of Ebay, their pretty cheap.

Yeah.Dont worry mate, if you need any help replacing it feel free to ask in this forum. I remeber 3dluis had a guide to opening the PSp somewhere. Its not that hard, so itll be ok!

see i cracked it.when i was trying to get it out of that little like metal holding,i was trying to lift it up on the left top corner.and i assume that i was trying to lift it wrong then all i hear is CRACK! i was like hmmm..that cant be good..then just put everything back together and then when i turned it on,theres a big crack where i was pushing up and the whole top half of the screen dont work.
i need a bricked psp or something :(

opening a psp is only like six screws. It's a peice of cake.
I had to replace a few analog sticks already. Replacing a screen isn't too hard either.

its so easy, i wouldnt even need a guide (then again i do build computers). but all you do is slide out the old cable for the screen, take it out, put in the new one and plug it up!

u know people say its easy and maybe it is,but to people that have no idea on how to do it..its hard.dont tell me well if u dont know what you are doing then u shouldnt have done it.yeah i know thats totally true but hey,i gotta learn somehow :)

good point. by the way, i have seen a psp screen before, and most LCD screens use that plug in method. make sure wen ur slding it in, that you push the card in as far as possible WITHOUT bending it. and trust me push it as far as you can, maybe even more.
