Sorry if there's already an answer to this here somewhere, but I'm a cue newbie who has looked for 45 mins. already w/o much success... What I'm trying to do is add cue information directly to some long MP3 files - for example, to put several long continuous mix MP3's (hour or two each) on one CD so that the cue tracks would show up on each file when the songs play.
Otherwise, I wind up with some hour-long single MP3 tracks that are difficult to navigate when played in devices that read MP3 tracks from CD (eg: portable CD/MP3 player). Is it possible to add cue information to these tracks in MP3 format? From what I have read, it seems that cue info. can only be added after conversion to WAV format?
I'm using Nero 5.5 to create CD's by dragging MP3 files over to a new ISO session and then creating an .nri file. The best solution I have seen so far is to use Feurio instead and add track markers (at every 15 mins., for example), but this would not add cue info. If anyone knows much about this, I'd be happy to learn more! :)
cue fiels can be associated with mp3s.. just make sure they link to the right file and in the third line say 'MP3' instead of 'WAVE'.
I assume you can burn them just like that, but I'm not entirely sure, it probably depends on the burning program.
I have a plug-in for winamp that opens a separate playlist window for cuesheets associated with mp3 files, it's rather handy, but rather buggy, and also just screwed up a lot of work by overwriting a cue file I had totally redone to what it was before.. but for most people that wouldn't be a problem. i'm going to shut up now.
