Can anyone tell me what Nero Recode is used for and how it works? There is no Users Guide at Nero website. What I would like to do is copy a Movie DVD to a blank DVD-R. I am currently using DVDxCopy for this, however the program doesn't have any control over the contents to allow you to put it on one 4.7G disk. Recode seems to have that adjustment ability.

Are you sure ?
I tried to use it for my AVI movie but it didn't.
It says only DVD files like .mpeg or .vob's.
I will check this ...again...

I havent use it myself, but i was under the impression form others who have used ti that it recodes, AVI to DVD, AVI to VCD/SVCD. Is this not the case?

It will take a 9gb DVD and recode it to fit on
a 4gb disk. Use DVD Decrypter to rip the DVD, then use recode to 'recode' it. Select the
HD directory that DVD Decrypter used and go.
Find it is 2 to 3 times faster than Pinnacle Instant Copy. Havn't timed it against DVDXCOPY XPRESS yet, because Xpress has a bug on some
systems (mine and others) that their support
has acknowledged. Havn't played with it much, but it looks like Recode has a lot of possibilities.

sorry but you are all wrong
give up on all those ripping programs
and then recoding programs
and then burning programs
just use recode
bung in the origional
bung in a blank
done
menus, subtitles etc if you want tem
approx 6 hours on a 1 gig cpu
picture quality allmost perfecr, you'd do well to tell the difference from the origional
as for copy protected movies, i've done about a dozen recently, and haven't come across one that won't copy

But Rjw, you don't get the customization like you do using indipendant programs!
You don't get more with less!!
