So here is my problem: I have a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-109 and I downloaded the DVR109_FW158EU driver update and when I try installing it, it tells me to choose the destination, so I use the default one which is C:\DVR109\FW158EU and I get this error message:

Available Target is not found.
So Im guessing that the location of my DVD burner is somewhere else but I dont know where to find it, could you guys plz help?
1.58 for some internals.Some's got the 8.58 and the externals have some different ones as well. Match your current firmware to the latest available for your drive.
I'm not sure of the correct process,but when I update my benqs-I find the latest correct firmware version,download it to zip folder-and remember where they go. After downloading,close everything out,make sure no disc in in the drive,find that zip folder,open,and follow the directions carefully. Also make sure of no chance for power interuptions-storms.
Some firmware is different,may have to have extra programs/utilities to open them up.

Pioneer is offering a free upgrade for certain DVR-109/109BK and DVR-A09XLA/XLB/XLC and DVR-109XLA1/XLB1/XLC1 and DVR-109AXL/BXL/EXL DVD/CD writers to correct a problem that may occur when recording on DVD+RW discs. If the host computer experiences a buffer underrun during +RW recording, user data may not record properly on the disc and may not be retrievable. The problem can be fixed by downloading and installing the free Firmware Update (v1.09), which is available here. All users of DVR-109 and DVR-A09 drives with firmware versions of 1.05 or lower are encouraged to install this Update.
