Best Audio CD-Rs (?)

This is an issue that I have been having for quite a few years and don't know if maybe it's related to the way I burn or if it's the CDs I use to burn with.

When I play a burnt CD-R in my car CD player it keeps searching for a while before it finds the tracks.

My car is a 99 model Honda Accord with factory CD player. I had no problems playing Maxell CD-Rs about three years ago. Since then the only CD-Rs that played without difficulty are Memorex. Recently even the Memorex are having the same difficulty.

Any suggestions outside of changing my CD player? Thanks in advance.
