Hello
I recently started having problems with DVD Decrypter. I can successfully rip the dvd using any dvd and DVD Shrink. When I go to use DVD Decrypter it like buffers out or give me that I/O Error. But its not consistent. I was trying to back up The Departed to a dvd and DVD Decrypter wouldnt work. I tried the process with decrypter like 5 times than it suddenly worked. What is going on? Any one else running into this.

If you have a sucessful ISO file from AnyDVD and Shrink, you can
just burn it with Imgburn. You won't need to run it through
Decryptor.

Hello Spiral.

There are a number of things that can cause the write errors you're describing. e.g., out of date firmware, poor quality media, and burning too fast. If you have one of the DVD D logs, you might post that back here to help people diagnose. As Shardel suggested, trying ImgBurn is also a possibility. ImgBurn was written by the same person who wrote DVD D.

@Spiral
Here's one option you might want to try on newer movies. I have heard some people having problems with DvdShrink and AnyDVD working together, so try this on your next one.
Since you have AnyDVD, DVD Decrypter and DvdShrink, next time rip the movie with DVD Decrypter with AnyDVD in the background. After you rip, run the entire rip through FixVTS.

Get it here:

Then process through DvdShrink like normal and burn with DVD Decrypter.

I use this process almost everytime now.

Tools I used and highly recommend:

DVDFab Decrypter
RipIt4Me
DVD Decrypter
DVD Shrink
ImgBurn
FixVTS and VobBlanker

Have a look at some FREE guides here http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/A_F_Guides.html (featuring guides by alkohol & fasfrank: it will help you to install, rip and backup any DVD successfully; guides including DVD Shrink, DVDFab Decrypter, RipIt4Me, DVD Decrypter, ImgBurn, VobBlanker & FixVTS).

Once DVDFab is done ripping, "OPEN FILES" via DVD Shrink and continue. If for some reason DVD Shrink is choking (can not continue), then you'll need to "process and clean" your already ripped files (VOB, VTS) through FixVTS or (VIDEO_TS.IFO) through VobBlanker.

If you don't want to use DVDFab Decrypter, simply rip with RipIt4Me (it is unstoppable, but just a little longer that's all). Follow this RipIt4Me guide here http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/Guides/alkohol_guide2.html

Best of luck and enjoy them FREE guides.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.
