Well Soldier Of Fortune "use" to be a overburn (CloneCD) and I don't recall any cd protection on that game. Damn I'm gettin' old.... Use the Safedisc 1x for backing up Half Life& Starcraft and you should be good to go. I remember backing up Soldier of Fortune about 2 years ago, when 700 mb disc were'nt around....

Shoey :)

That must have been exciting

Anyways, with regards to StarCraft and SOF, you should have any problems even if you just do a "copy-to-HDD-and-burn dataCD" duplication. HalfLife is a little fancier though, wont that jury rigged technique wont work - i've tried it hehe. Just have a go at it with CloneCD. With a modern drive, it should make mincemeat of those games.

Actually it was m8. CloneCD managed to overburn 20+ mb's on a 650 megabyte disc (no joke)
