i got this error and i've read around here and other forums for a solution. this seems to be the most reliable one:

here's the deal - i don't have the windows install disc. my brother built this pc for me a few years back and i can't get a hold of him. any assistance from anyone would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

you can go to a local computer store and have them throw in the original disk and repair it for you, or you can ask them kindly for a original disk (it will be a burned copy), and do it your self so they do not charge you. Last option, download the OS disk from a torrent site.
