Hi iam thninking of getting a ps3 in april and i seen some in best buy and the 60gb is $699 canadian and the 20GB is 599 what one would be better? and do they both ahve built in wifi? or is it better to get a xbox 360 for a cheaper console? and what will be a better consle int eh longrun? and what are the benifits of ps3 over xbox360? in your opinins?

20 gig doesn't have wifi or media card slots the 60 gig does.

It's all down to tast and what you want from a console.
Atm the xbox 360 would be the better one to get as it has been out for over a year and has build itself a nice collection of games, plus it has the better online capability's out of the 2 atm.
As for the long run who knows.
But in the end its down to how much you want to spend and does ether of the consoles have any must have exclusives you really want to get.
If one has some exclusives out or coming out that you really want then go with that one.

20GB ps , theres a wireless wifi adapter coming out that fits in the usb slot, and you can just replace the Hdd

yeah ok thanks u guys i might go with the ps3 because the xbox just died when 360 cameout and i currently have a ps2 right now and its still living in the console world and selling games.

The difference between the premium and basic are:
the Premium's hard drive has 40 more gb. It has built in wi-fi, flash card readers, and has that pretty chrome finish, so your friends know which version you were able to afford. ;-)
I don't think either of the 360's are wifi ready. MS does have a special usb adaptor, but it will cost you a pretty penny.
If you're looking at them strictly as consoles, I think you'll find them to be extremely similar. 360 does have the larger game library right now (excluding backwards compatibility), but that could all change.
In the long run, I'd say both of them will do really well. The ps3 has Blu-ray built in, so if Blu-ray were to win the HD format war, it might pay off. On the flipside, you could buy an HD-DVD add-on player with a 360. I suppose I'm not really helping you make a decision, but at least I'm laying it out for you.
For me, the benefits of the ps3 over the 360 are also the weaknesses of the ps3 to the 360. Blu-ray was one example, but take their online plans. The ps3's is free, the 360's cost a subscription fee. But the 360's is easy for developers and consumers to use, whereas Sony's online network isn't as proven for quality or reliability.
The only real advantage one has over the other, imo, is the gaming library, which I mentioned earlier.
If you're still torn, I'd say wait for either some games you are dying to play, or wait for a price drop.

The ps2 is kicking strong, that's for sure. I wouldn't hold that against either of the xbox's though. I'd say it's more of a testament to how popular the ps2 really is.
Shoot, why not wait until after God of War 2 comes out before buying a nexgen system? It's probably going to be as good as anything MS or Sony will give you for the 360 and ps3 this year. I'm being serious too.

yes that is a good choose i would get the ps3 it may not have many
games but most of them are good games and from what i have seen the
360 hasnt so id say you maded a good choose

I know your entitled to your opinion but i can't help but reply to that.
The 360 has no good games?.
Exclusive.
Gears Of War.
Project Gothem Racing 3.
Dead Or Alive 4.
Dead Rising.
Lost Planet.
Blue Dragon.
Crackdown.
Multi Platform.
Fight Night R3.
Call Of Duty 3.
Burnout Revenge.
Tony Hawks Project 8.
Saints Row.
Tomb Raider Legend.
F.E.A.R.
And that's just out of the ones i played.
So i really don't see how you can say most of the ps3 games a good and then say the 360 has no good games, to me it seems like such a fanboyish statement but thats just my opinion..

yes your right there but some of them i think arent great
and the xbox 360 has been out for awile and there basicly all
the best game. with only 7 or 8 good games i would get the ps3
thats may opinion

For anyone not sure which console to buy (Xbox 360 or Ps3)here is my opinion.
I own both xbox 360 and Ps3 and I can seriously say that the Ps3 is a much better console.
Apart from the price tag, the overall system of the ps3 is amazing.
Movies are clearer;
Online gaming is equal to xbox 360;
Games; better release titles than the 360 had, and graphics are way better in comparison to the 360 release & current titles. Imagine where Ps3 game graphics are going to be 1 year from now.
The only game at present on 360 equal to the graphics of the ps3 is Gear of War. that is an amazing game.
This is my unbiased opinion for anyone that is not sure on which console to buy. If you still can't decide. Buy them both. Like me.
I enjoy both systems.
