Hi, evereyone, I just joined this site and would like to describe a problem that's been bugging me for quite some time now ...
I'm always burning AVI movies to DVD-R for a year now on my laptop, and everything 's been fine since a couple of months ago when the burned movies started having delays of sound, mostly noticeable in lip sync. I've always been using Nero 6 for direct transcoding before writing to media, and never had any problems. Then one day this delay started. So I switched to Nero 7 and the problem remained. I googled and found the same problem with Nero reported on a couple of sites, and no solution.
So I was advised to switch to Pro Coder 2.0, and I did and the same thing is still happening. Regardless of the output format or the variable or constant framerate or bitrate or anything.
The interesting thing is that none of all tose movies have delay when burned on my other computer, and with only Nero 6.
The burner in the laptop works fine.
So, basically, what could be the problem? I'm really getting desperate already.
And, also, another problem I'm having with Pro Coder is the picture which is surprisingly bad, reagardless of settings I choose prior to conversion. It is "liney" and "squarey" and muddy ... It seems like even Nero did a better job when transcoding than ProCoder.
