I've never modded or copied any ps2 game before so bare with me guys. Is there any way to backup a ps2 game and make it work on your ps2 with out buying anything online or anything?

You need at least some sort of modification. Whether it's an exploit, Swap Magic or Modchip installation, you need some sort of mod to play backed-up games.

But don't threat.
If you had the cash to buy a PS2 (Which I know is cheap but still) you'll definetaly have the extra cash to get your PS2 modchipped ;)
