Yo,

i want to set up my xbox live. i am not sure exactly how to set it up though. my cable modem is in a diff. room. i kno my two options. one is to hav someone run a wire through th wall but i am not goin to do that. another is just run a wire ovr th floor and that would mean someone might trip over th wire. the rooms arent positioned so i can fasten it to th side of th wall. my last option would be to hav a wireless network the problem wit that is it is sometimes too slow for xbox live to run.HELP!

i had a similar prob to u.
do what i did, get all your cables, a router etc and then run the wires around the house where you want them, setup the link between modem, router, pc and xbox or however you got it, then simply pull up the edges of the carpet and put the wire underneath it and push the carpet back down, you wont even know its there after a while!!!

Just a freindly reminder. Brettsky you might know this all ready but like a said just a freindly reminder. When your setting up your Live account if you have a mod chip remember to turn it off. Also if you have a up-graded HDD it must be locked. If you don't have a chip or up-graded HDD(why are u here?)j/k. But 4 real if you do't have a chip or up-graded HDD u don't have anything to worry about.

my room wit th comp and th room wit th xbox and tv is separated by a small room that has wood floor so i cant put it under th carpet

well then you better decide out of 3 things my friend:

1) Put up with trailing wires
2) Move all your tv and modem etc into the same room, or....

3) Dont get xbox live if your so worried about wires.

I would personnally go for 1)
