hi guys
made a boot disk with xtreme boot maker, and backed up original firmware
then flashed firmware on the drive, all went fine
however, the 360 now boots, but if i put in a game(original or backup) it says put this disk in a 360 console
so i try to restore the original firmware, but everytime i ust mtkflash it finds the drive, i say master and it just sits there
if i then control c to stop it and try it again, it cannot find the drive
so i power off the 360, it then finds the drive, the second i tell it to flash it dissapears again, and so on.
any ideas? i am absolutely stumped!

you need to use the enable800 disc so you can reflash the drive. search and you can find enable800, make sure you burn it to a dvd dl disc. are you sure it copied the key over to the new firmware before you flashed it? id say try flashing it again with xtreme5.2, you just need the enable800 disc. You put the disc in the drive right before you flash it, wait 15-20 sec for the drive to stop spinning, remove the disc, then flash away! thats what i did, worked like a charm. someone correct me if im wrong.

sorry just to elaborate further on this the error i get from mtkflash is status=51 should be 70
i will try the 0800 thing now and see what happens

so i tried the 0800 dvd, this didnt work either, same error
any other suggestions??

kept trying the 0800 disk and eventually got it to reflash, thanks for the help

Glad it worked for you! My 360 was out for 3 weeks due to a bad drive, and when i got my new one it was flashed already with xtreme, so i had to reflash it with my key and 5.2, and 800 worked great for me.
