Ok I was flashing my bros xbox using my onboard sata ports. I get to the point where you type in:

mtkflash r /m orig.bin

so I choose my sata port and after counting to 10 and turn the 360 but no percentage thing happens. I turn the xbox off and then the pc. Plug everything out and go to test the xbox.

- The disk tray takes a few presses to open.
- When a game is inserted the screen stays black but the xbox is making the noises as if the game is loading. (All cable are correctly plugged in)
- I tried it out with a DVD and all I could hear was the sound.

Now my questions are:

If I purchase a VIA sata chipset and try the bad flash method will it work?

Or what should I do to make it work?

Bear in mind that not file is saved to the USB stick (orig.bin).
