Magic 3.1 PAL Games

I recently did a back up for my friend's PAL version of NFS:Carbon. Whenver I load this into my system, which is modded with Magic v3.1 the game loads, (eg. Playstation 2 is displayed) then the game comes in black and white for about a second, and he screen turns blue. Is there any button/button combo that I need to press for PAL games to work?
