hey, im new to this too, if i had movies in the form of MPEG, MPG and AVI, would the codec make a difference? i want to know if its possible to burn these files to a DVD so i can watch them on my DVD player
keep in mind i am a 16 yearold dude, and i may not be up to date with your computer lingo, so, uh... try to explain in terms a 6 yearold would understand. greatly appreciate any response :)

I like bikes...oh and women too but they can sit in the back with the dog

ok, so you want to burn a DVD, to a DVD. well then no you wouldn't need a codec (encode /Decode) but from a mpg2 or an avi yes the codec makes a difference, that's y they research new one's that do the job faster and better,
