I must warn you first -- if your AVI files are already in some lossy format like in DivX, the quality will drop significantly (as it always does when you re-encode a video file).

Use TMPGEnc for this/these operations:

-first, use TMPGEnc in order to encode your AVIs into MPEG-1. Open the first file, choose "VCD.cfm" class="forum_link" target="_blank">VideoCD (yourAVI'svideoformat)" template (if the framerate of the AVI is 29-30 it's NTSC, if 25 it's PAL), go to settings, change motion search to best quality and start encoding (more detailed instructions can be found from http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/ from various articles on that page).

-do the same thing for the other AVI (into different file obviously)

-then use TMPGEnc's MPEG Tools -- choose Cut/Join and load your first resulting MPEG-1 file in and then the second one and hit Start. You end up having one MPEG-1 file that has both AVIs encoded in it.

-if the movie doesn't fit into one CD, use TMPGEnc's MPEG Tools and Cut/Join again and cut the video into smaller pieces (cutting and joining doesn't lose any quality of the file) and then burn it into VCD with Nero.

Download TMPGEnc from here:

Basically you can't. Valid framerates are those of TV - 25 or 29.97.
