HD upgrade problem

I recently tried to format a 250gb with xboxhdmv1.9. I have the all teh drive copies it needed and the eeprom backup. When I locked the hard drive after formatting it and "building" a new xbox hard drive, I put it into my xbox, could not unlock it. I put it back in my pc, load up xboxhdm, tried to unlock it, gives me to error but the drive still says its locked. I think I skipped over the generate xbox hdd key part while creating it. How can I kepe it unlocked, generate the key (it gave me an error when I tried), and lock it again for the xbox. I'm using the xboxhdm from xbox-hq .
