Will the new sony firmare update come through in the PS3 updates or do i have to download it and install it manually.

Yes I saw that also this morning that there is a new uppdate. Its 1.52. Wierd cuz playstation.com didnt have anything mentioning an update. It still has the 1.51 update. I didnt run it though. will update it later. what ever happend to letting the world know there is an update or one coming atleast. whats included in this new unannounced update if anyone else knows. Or did I miss the notification

Just put the new update on ps3 i wonder what it does also. i thought the next update wasn't till into march????

Just went to the PS3 site and the update is know 1.54.

I know Im not crazy. it does say 1.54 now on the playstation site. but this was 6am central when I saw that 1.52 was the latest update, and the playstation site still had the 1.51 update. I guess they were still adding the 1.54 throughout the day.

New for 1.54: [Screen Mode] has been added as an option in the options menu for video chat. The image of the person you are chatting with during video chat can now be changed to match the screen size.

New for 1.54: You can now use a compatible USB camera compliant with USB video class (UVC) for video chat.

To me it seems like Sony is adding all the cool things that makes the 360 good to have. Thats the only important thing that Micorsoft has (had once the updates are all caught up) over Sony. Which is all the things that has nothing to do with game play.

Riddle me this:

how come the ps3 seems more like an actual PC than the 360. There is more things you can do inthe view months with the ps3 since it has been out thand the xbox. and I doubt it will stop now. You would think that the 360 would have an edge over any other consoles considerng the creator
